KISS is an American hard rock band formed in Queens New York by ex-Wicked Lester members Stanley Eisen and Gene Klein in 1972. In 1973, KISS was signed to Casablanca Records giving their official date of January 1973 with Peter Criscola on drums and Paul Frehley on lead guitar. KISS is known for their extravagant live performances kabuki makeup and their music, though some critics feel that KISS's music is not that good, that the only reason KISS is still around is for their stage performances only. Just ask the millions of fans and the dozen or so bands that have KISS as a major influence on not only their musical style, but on their whole outlook on life itself.

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Class of 2014

April 10, 2014, saw the moment when KISS was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, or as Gene and « are calling it. The Hall of Shame. The reasoning behind the bad words towards the Hall of Fame is that they only inducted the original four members, of which are «, Gene Simmons, «, and Peter Criss. Leaving out «, Vinnie Vincent, Mark St. John, Bruce Kulick, Eric Singer, and Tommy Thayer.

It is like a slap in the face, to know that all these members help to get us where we are today, and for them to go unrecognized, is a sad day for the band, and for the fans. Though some fans agree that it should only be the 4 original members only and that they are glad that it was done the way it was. However, the plain simple fact of the matter is, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has become a complete joke and a mockery of itself.
